🛒Trend Buying & trading

How to Own, Trade, or Bid on a Trend

The Buying & Offers section explains how users can discover, purchase, and make offers on trends within the Xtrends marketplace. Every transaction is on-chain, transparent, and handled automatically through Solana smart contracts.

The first step is to explore available trends in the Trending Hub.

You can:

  • Browse by All, Just Bought, Launching Soon, or Pinned tabs

  • Filter trends by status, volume, or price

  • Search specific hashtags (e.g., #AIRevolution, #SolanaPump)

Each trend card clearly shows its state:

Available

Unowned, open for purchase

Buy Now (1 SOL)

Owned (Inactive)

Active coin, trading live

Trade

You’ll instantly see whether a trend can be bought, offered on, or traded — directly from the search results.

💰 Buy Trend Flow

When a trend is marked Available, any user can buy it instantly.

Step-by-Step:

1️⃣ Click Buy Trend 2️⃣ Confirm the 1 SOL purchase transaction in your connected wallet 3️⃣ Wait a few seconds for Solana block confirmation 4️⃣ Once successful, the system:

  • Mints and transfers the Trend NFT to your wallet

  • Updates ownership status to Owned by You

  • Logs your purchase on-chain

You are now the exclusive owner of that trend — with full rights to launch or resell it.

💬 Make an Offer

If a trend is already owned, you can bid to buy it from the current owner.

How It Works:

  • Enter your offer amount in SOL

  • Approve the transaction (funds move into escrow)

  • The offer appears under Bids Received for the owner

  • The owner can accept or decline anytime

If accepted:

  • Your SOL transfers automatically to the seller

  • The Trend NFT transfers to you

  • Ownership updates on-chain instantly

If declined or expired:

  • Your SOL is automatically refunded from escrow.

Offers give traders and creators a transparent way to negotiate ownership — all handled by smart contracts.

🔒 Offer Rules & Escrow Logic

The offer system is fully automated and secure.

Function
Description

Escrow Deposit

Your SOL offer is locked in smart contract until resolved

Acceptance

Instantly swaps NFT for SOL

Rejection / Expiry

Refunds your SOL to wallet

No Manual Transfers

Entire process is trustless and on-chain

Important Rules:

  • Multiple users can make offers on the same trend

  • Owners can only accept one active offer

  • Offers expire automatically after a fixed time window (e.g., 48 hours)

No middlemen, no disputes — the blockchain handles every offer transparently.

✅ Buy Confirmation & Transaction Status

After confirming a purchase or offer:

  • A Buy Confirmation screen appears showing transaction hash, wallet address, and success message

  • Status changes in the system immediately:

    • Available → Owned (after purchase)

    • Offer Sent → Pending / Accepted / Declined (for bids)

  • You can track transactions anytime in your Solana explorer link

Example:

  • You buy #AIRevolution → System mints NFT → Transaction confirmed

  • You see “Success” message and new status: Owned by You

  • You can now view it under your #Owned → Inactive dashboard
